KRAVE expands portfolio with launch of new ‘beefed up’ bar

By Industry News
KRAVE meat bar
December 29, 2016

KRAVE Pure Foods Inc., a Sonoma, Calif.-based producer of culinary-inspired jerky, has launched its newest innovation, the KRAVE Bar. The company’s first departure outside of its flagship line of jerky products, the KRAVE Bar signifies KRAVE’s attention to the rising favorability of meat snacks among consumers while continuing to elevate and disrupt the protein snacking experience.

The KRAVE Bar comes in four unique flavors, Chipotle Cherry Beef, Cranberry Thyme Turkey, Mango Jalapeño Pork and Wild Blueberry Beef. Made with simple ingredients that contains no added nitrites or artificial ingredients, the new addition provides a tantalizing blend of sweet and savory flavors, while offering a good source of protein that can be enjoyed on-the-go. The KRAVE Bar is made with either pork, beef or turkey combined with quinoa and dried fruit for a perfect harmony of flavors. The KRAVE Bar is a result of months of recipe and nutritional testing to create a meat snack that will satisfy consumers and meet the demand for better-for-you food that does not sacrifice taste.

The KRAVE Bar is also giving back through its ties with the latest Team KRAVE member and U.S. Olympian Michael Phelps. KRAVE Pure Foods, Inc. will donate a portion of its bar sales up to $50,000 to The Michael Phelps Foundation, whose mission is to promote the sport of swimming and healthy active lives. So far, the Foundation has reached over 15,000 children and adults with their life-saving water safety, goal setting and healthy living program.

“We are elated to finally get the KRAVE Bar into the hands of consumers who are looking for a new tasty better-for-you meat snack,” said Rusti Porter, KRAVE Head of Marketing. “We also couldn’t be more excited about our partnership with The Michael Phelps Foundation. Michael Phelps is an inspiration to us all and his performance at the 2016 Olympic Games was an amazing articulation of our KRAVE Better message of demanding more in all aspects of your life. We look forward to working together on the launch of our KRAVE Bar and to help spread the message of living an active and healthy lifestyle”

The KRAVE Bar will be available at KRAVEjerky.com, CVS and other retailers nationwide for a SRP of $2.89. For more information on KRAVE, visit http://www.kravejerky.com/.
