Associates from Perdue Farms’ breeder operation in Thorntown, Ind., recently presented a check for $1,786 in support of the United Way of Central Indiana in Boone County. The contribution included a $162 grant provided by the Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation, the charitable giving arm of Perdue Farms. Perdue employs 82 associates in Thorntown.
“United Way of Central Indiana is grateful for the continued support of Perdue Farms’ and applauds their commitment to the local communities in which they operate,” said Aaron Gore, area director of United Way of Central Indiana Area Northwest. “Together, we directly impact our neighbors to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency. This is what United Way of Central Indiana has done for nearly 100 years with a focus on improving the education, financial stability, health and basic needs of everyone in our communities.”
