Birko hires Suzan Damron as Director of Accounting, Finance
Birko, a leader in providing food safety solutions for the protein, brew, further processing and produce industries, announces the hire of Suzan Damron, CPA, as director of accounting and finance.
Damron will oversee the organization’s financial operations which involves oversight of the accounting department, and developing efficient financial and revenue-generating processes.
“Suzan’s experience and prior achievements make her a welcome addition to the Birko team,” said Kelly Green, Birko president, chairman of the board and third-generation owner. “She will play a key role in creating the financial discipline necessary to support our continued growth.”
Prior to joining the Birko team, Damron held the position of chief financial officer at VIPAR Heavy Duty, Inc., and was chief operating officer of VIPAR’s manufacturing subsidiary. Before VIPAR, Damron worked as an accounting manager at Eisenmann Corporation and an audit manager at a public accounting and tax firm.
Damron holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois State University and a master of business administration and organizational leadership from Northern Illinois University.
