Field-to-packing solution provider, BioSafe Systems, is excited to announce its SaniDate 15.0 product received a critical label enhancement for the treatment of process water used in the packing of raw commodities, such as specialty fruits and vegetables. SaniDate 15.0’s robust label is now EPA approved to inhibit Salmonella, E. Coli and Listeria in packing-house wash-water applications, providing packers with a powerful treatment option for human health and spoilage organisms.

SaniDate 15.0 was formulated by BioSafe Systems specifically to address the unique needs and challenges found in vegetable and fruit water treatment applications, including the recent changes outlined in the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). SaniDate 15.0’s concentrated 15% Peroxyacetic Acid (PAA) formulation utilizes a proprietary package of stabilizing agents to provide packers with a water treatment solution that is effective against human health pathogens in the water, and also inhibits spoilage organisms that reduce produce shelf-life and quality. 

BioSafe Systems has also introduced a unique dosing and monitoring system, the SaniDate MDS, which provides packers with automated data-logging technology and ensures accurate dosing of all BioSafe Systems’ SaniDate products. This unique system helps packers increase their efficiency, record keeping and auditing process.
