The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) entered into a stipulation agreement with Nevada Livestock Marketing LLC. (Nevada) of Fallon, Nev., on April 3, 2022, for alleged violations of the Packers and Stockyards (P&S) Act. Under the terms of the stipulation agreement, Nevada waived its right to a hearing and paid a penalty of $4,000.
An investigation by USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service revealed that Nevada failed to maintain its custodial account, resulting in custodial shortages of $16,571 on Sept. 24, 2021, and $616,463 on Oct. 28, 2021.
