Before the Butcher debuts VegBurg
Plant-based burger patty features fresh vegetables, aiming to bring vegetable-based burgers back to their roots.

Plant-based protein company Before the Butcher is expanding its lineup with the debut of the VegBurg, designed to let fresh vegetables shine.
The VegBurg aims to bring vegetable-based burgers back to their roots and was developed with at-home chefs and foodservice professionals in mind.
This product is made in the USA using a combination of lentils, organic zucchini, carrots, quinoa, mushrooms and other whole plant-based ingredients. The clean-label patties are free from soy, dairy and GMOs.
“With the VegBurg, we set out to craft a burger that celebrates vegetables in their most flavorful form,” said Danny O’Malley, president and founder of Before the Butcher. “It’s all about clean ingredients, great texture, and a taste that stands out on its own.”
Before the Butcher recently sampled its VegBurg at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago from May 17–20, 2025.
