Bumble Bee is introducing a new product line: Bumble Bee Snackers, single-serve tuna cans in a variety of flavors.

"People love flavored tuna, but not everyone wants a pouch. The simple solution—a flavored single serve can—we're excited to bring this to shelves." said Andrew Choe CEO, Bumble Bee Seafoods.

"The way people snack has changed over the years. They want flavor, they want protein, they want it to be mindlessly easy, and it can't cost a fortune. Bumble Bee Snackers check every one of those boxes." said Jeremy Zavoral, senior director of innovation and insights, Bumble Bee Seafoods.

Bumble Bee Snackers are single serve 3-ounce cans of flavored and unflavored wild-caught tuna. The flavors come premixed, and don't need any draining, responding to consumer demand for convenience-focused snacking.

Why cans instead of pouches?

Until now in the US, most single-serve flavored tuna has been sold in pouches, but Circana data shows 84% of shoppers still buy tuna in cans. Why? They like the experience more.; shoppers can get to all the tuna easily, catch any spills, and use it as a bowl all by itself. Additionally, compact size makes cans easy to stack in the pantry and more visible for consumers browsing for a quick snack on the go.

Bumble Bee Snackers have 20% more product than a pouch.

Bumble Bee Snackers are available at grocery retailers nationwide both in store and online including Kroger, Albertsons, Ahold, Shoprite and Amazon, and coming soon to Walmart, Publix, Harris Teeter, Dollar Tree and Target.
