The back-to-school season is here, and coming up with meal ideas to keep protein and other essential nutrients in kids’ diets can feel like a never-ending chore. In response, the California Beef Council partnered with Real California Milk to encourage families to “Fuel Up for Back to School,” and they’ve enlisted a few cattle ranchers and food content creators to help make menu planning easier.

That’s where our content creator partners come in. Coming up with meal ideas that are not just healthy and delicious, but also simple and convenient, can be an exhausting routine for any family. We’re hoping to make that process a little easier.”

In addition to the content creators, four moms from some of California’s cattle ranching families also offered their favorite busy school day recipes. Recipes and videos from content creators @freutcake (Crockpot Beef Sandwiches), @lindsaysurowitz (Steak & Eggs Breakfast Quesadillas) and @myhealthydish (Instant Pot Beef Pho) are available on Instagram. Recipes and videos created by the ranchers include Philly Sloppy Joes from @koopmann_family_beef, Korean Style Flanken Ribs from @dotsevenranch, Beef Rigatoni from @flying_f_ranch, and Brisket Breakfast Burritos from @gabriellathecattleist.
In addition to the rancher and content creator recipes on Instagram, a curated selection of protein-packed recipes from beefitswhatsfordinner.com and realcaliforniamilk.com are available at the CBC’s campaign website, backtoschoolcalifornia.com.
