Meat snack brand New Primal is debuting its Honey BBQ Seasoned Chicken Mini Meat Sticks at Natural Products Expo West, March 4-6, 2026, arriving as the most requested flavor extension from the brand’s community. Attendees are invited to visit booth #5531 in Hall E to sample New Primal’s Honey BBQ Snack Mates.

As consumer preferences shift from traditional snacks to high-protein, clean-label products, meat sticks have emerged as the fastest-growing category in the United States snack market.

Recent Catalina campaign data reveals that 61% of Snack Mates purchases are from new category buyers – proving these products aren’t just shifting sales, they are actively growing the market.  These parent-approved, kid-friendly Honey BBQ Snack Mates represent the brand’s latest initiative to invite a fresh demographic of health-conscious families into the category.

“Our mission has always been to make clean protein accessible and delicious for the modern family,” said Jason Burke, founder of New Primal. “Honey BBQ isn’t just a flavor our fans wanted; it’s a flavor that brings new families into the fold. We’ve captured that classic, nostalgic BBQ taste and made it low in sugar with high-quality protein and wholesome ingredients consumers can trust.”

Crafted with all-natural chicken raised without added hormones or antibiotics, the Honey BBQ Snack Mates join a lineup including Chicken & Maple and Classic Turkey varieties, which currently account for 60% of the brand’s meat snack business. The sticks are gluten free, soy free and low in sugar.

The new flavor will be available on Amazon in March 2026 in multiple pack sizes, with Thrive Market and additional retailers to follow.
