Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection, specializing in inline, automated product inspection systems, will showcase several new technologies at Interpack 2026, including the global debut of its M50 R‑Series metal detector, in Hall 11, Stand A60, May 7–13 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The company plans to highlight how advanced inspection systems, connected software and global service support can help food and packaging manufacturers manage contamination risks, verify product and package integrity, and maintain compliance in increasingly complex production environments.
A key introduction at the booth will be the new M50 R‑Series metal detector. Positioned as the next generation of the company’s metal detection platform, the system is designed to deliver higher detection sensitivity and improved productivity while simplifying compliance. The M50 R‑Series will become the lead offering in Mettler-Toledo’s metal detection portfolio, succeeding the Profile and Profile Advantage models.
Mettler-Toledo will also feature its full X‑ray inspection lineup, including the first European showing of the X3 Bulk Series. Developed for unpackaged, loose-flow and bulk products, the X3 Bulk system is engineered to maintain detection performance in challenging bulk-handling environments while supporting higher throughput.
The company will also demonstrate the X2 and X6 Series systems for packaged products, illustrating how scalable x‑ray solutions can be deployed across multiple production stages to support quality, brand protection and regulatory compliance.
The C35 checkweigher will be shown running both food and pharmaceutical applications. Recent advancements allow the system to handle line speeds above 800 packs per minute. The C35 is designed for accuracy and ease of integration, helping processors reduce giveaway, identify underfills and meet weights‑and‑measures requirements.
Mettler-Toledo will highlight its next-generation CM and CX combination systems, which integrate metal detection or x‑ray inspection with checkweighing in a single unit. Depending on application needs, additional capabilities such as label inspection can be incorporated to create 2‑in‑1 or 3‑in‑1 configurations aimed at reducing footprint and simplifying line integration.
For food manufacturers focused on digitalization and audit readiness, the company will demonstrate its ProdX data management software. ProdX connects inspection devices across the line, automates data capture and traceability, and provides real‑time visibility into inspection performance. At the booth, ProdX will be shown connected to 25 devices, including a continuous loop, and visitors can explore the system through an immersive VR experience.
Mettler-Toledo will also emphasize its global service network, including preventive maintenance, performance verification and local technical support aimed at maximizing uptime and extending equipment life.
“We are demonstrating how our latest inspection solutions, combined with monitoring software and lifecycle service support, help customers inspect every product with confidence, protect their profits and comply with industry requirements more easily,” said Daniela Verhaeg, communications manager for Mettler-Toledo.
Interpack attendees can see live demonstrations and meet with product inspection specialists in Hall 11, Stand A60.
