American Lamb Board connects chefs and producers in growing target markets
Lamb Board works to build demand for American lamb in Atlanta, Charleston and Seattle.

In June 2026, the American Lamb Board hosted two industry lunches in growing target markets: Atlanta and Charleston. These events were designed to bring chefs, restaurant leaders, culinary professionals and sheep producers together around one purpose: building demand for American lamb.
Held at Gunshow in Atlanta and Sorelle in Charleston, the lunches created opportunities for education, culinary exploration and direct connection. Through prepared menus and conversations around sourcing and menu development, chefs were able to experience the versatility and quality of American lamb while engaging directly with the producers who raise it.
Both events provided opportunities for chefs to discuss sourcing, menu applications, seasonal features, and new ways to incorporate American lamb into established and emerging restaurant concepts. Many of the attendees are influential culinary leaders in their communities, making these events an important opportunity to showcase American lamb as a premium protein, answer questions, and build relationships.
For sheep producers, events like these help move American lamb beyond the farm and into the hands of culinary leaders who influence restaurant menus. Just as importantly, they give chefs a chance to meet the people behind the product and gain a deeper understanding of the care, commitment, and quality that define American lamb production.
ALB Board Member and producer Tucker West of Liberty Farms attended both events, representing ALB and lamb producers. Choate Farms also participated in the Atlanta lunch. “This was a great opportunity to reinforce one of the American Lamb Board’s most important roles,” said West. “Creating meaningful conversations between chefs and producers that strengthen relationships across the supply chain.”
By connecting the culinary community directly with producers, the American Lamb Board is helping build awareness, spark new menu opportunities and create long-term demand for American lamb in key foodservice markets.
Seattle is up next, featuring Anderson Ranches as the producer representative.
