DENVER – Three state affiliates of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) have received one-year leases on a round baler for efforts to increase membership in the organization.

The Arizona Cattle Feeders’ Association, Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association and Alabama Cattlemen’s Association each won use of the baler by increasing NCBA members, revenues and membership retention.

Arizona and Arkansas NCBA members also received discounts on Cattlemen’s College for their efforts. One hundred members in Arizona and 50 members in Arkansas who are pre-registered for the 2009 Cattle Industry Convention and Trade Show in Phoenix Jan. 28-31 will receive discounted admittance to the educational event. All three state organizations will also reportedly receive plaques at the convention recognizing their continued support for and dedication to a strong national cattlemen’s organization.

“As the nation’s largest and most respected cattle organization, NCBA relies on its affiliates as partners in the nationwide fight on behalf of producers,” says Bill Donald, chairman of the NCBA Policy Division. “The exemplary efforts of the NCBA members in Arizona, Arkansas and Alabama to make our national organization even stronger are a testament to the growing recognition of the need for a powerful team to address concerns in Washington D.C. and across the country with consumers.”
