6-19 news: Nebraska bovine TB quarantine expands to 42 herds
To quarantine includes about 16,000 cattle, according to AP reports. Nebraska Agriculture Director Greg Ibach said the numbers are likely to increase because officials are still tracking down all the animals that may have had contact with the infected herd over the last two years. Only two cases of bovine TB have been confirmed, in one herd from Rock County. The other herds that were quarantined may have had fence-line contact with the infected herd or contain animals bought from that herd.
