AmTrade has appointed Steven Lary as national sales manager. He will be responsible for developing partnerships with processors and growing the market for the Schröter line of thermal-processing equipment. He has more than 25 years of experience in the food industry. AmTrade is the U.S. sales and service organization for Schröter, which processes smokehouses, chilling systems, continuous cooking systems and more.
Debra Bradshaw of Zep Mfg. has been named Women in Food Industry Management’s Entrepreneure of the Year. She has been with Zep for 11 years and was selected for the award because of her newsletter, The Food Newz, which highlights events, training, trade shows and Web sites of interest to the food-processing industry. She also is on the board of directors for the Ontario (Canada) Food Protection Association.
Jay Hinkens has joined Food Safety Net Services as laboratory manager in the Dallas/Ft. Worth facility. He has spent 17 years in the laboratory testing industry and received his Bachelor of Science in Bacteriology and a Master of Animal Sciences from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
