An incident involving the mixing of unknown chemicals left several people feeling ill and caused emergency officials to evacuate the building early Tuesday. The incident occurred at Stampede Meats Inc. in Bridgeview, Ill., at 12:20 a.m. Several people were sent to area hospitals, but no serious injuries have been reported, according to theChicago Sun-Times.
Bridgeview Police Sgt. Lou Dominguez said that the facility was fully staffed when the incident occurred and had to be evacuated. Fire officials did not immediately have details early Tuesday, but unconfirmed dispatch reports indicate three EMS alarms and two HazMat alarms were called for the chemical incident.
