Smithfield Foods Inc. has announced the promotion of Keira L. Lombardo to the position of vice president of investor relations and corporate communications. Lombardo most recently served as director of investor relations and corporate communications for the company.

Her experience and knowledge of the company and our strategy has positioned her as a strong communicator to the investment community and has enabled her to provide a deeper understanding to our shareholders of the new focus and strength of Smithfield as a consumer packaged meats company.
