Butterball turkey burgers win award for best taste

Butterball’s Original Seasoned Frozen Turkey Burger and Butterball’s New Sweet Onion Seasoned Frozen Turkey Burger were recently awarded the 2012 ChefsBest Award for Best Taste in the frozen turkey burger category. Based on outscoring the competition by statistically significant margins, the Award for Best Taste is an affirmation of Butterball’s commitment to providing consumers with the highest-quality, best-tasting products available.

ChefsBest is dedicated to recognizing and honoring America’s best food and food-related products. The organization judges multiple product categories each year using panels of expert professional chefs that have been sensory-certified as Master Tasters. In totally unbiased conditions, they use a sophisticated judging methodology to determine which products are America’s best-tasting.

“This distinction follows a ChefsBest Award win for Best Taste in the poultry sausage category and establishes Butterball as an indisputable leader of taste in the poultry industry,” says Kyle Lock, director of retail marketing for Butterball, “Based on sales results and consumer feedback, it was clear to us early on that the Original Seasoned Frozen Turkey Burgers would be a success. The ChefsBest Award logo will appear on both the Butterball Original Seasoned Frozen Turkey Burger and the Butterball Sweet Onion Seasoned Frozen Turkey Burger packaging in the coming months.
