Ecolab’s latest sustainability report highlights the company’s positive customer impact

Ecolab’s positive sustainability results at more than one million customer locations worldwide are the focus of the company’s 2011 sustainability report. The company provides customers with products, services and technical expertise to help improve their operations and save water and energy while reducing waste.

“While the progress we have made in our own operations is important, we have an even greater impact through our customers,” said Douglas M. Baker Jr., Ecolab chairman and chief executive officer. “By helping our customers achieve their own sustainability goals, our impact is multiplied exponentially.”

The 2011 Ecolab Sustainability Report features:

• Success stories highlighting Ecolab’s customer partnerships

• Ecolab’s positive impact approach, helping customers minimize their use of resources and also generating additional positive outcomes, such as more energy, clean water and useful materials.

• The company’s goals and progress in four key areas of sustainability: environmental stewardship, social responsibility, economic progress and a renewed focus on safety.

• A detailed appendix providing additional, comprehensive information about Ecolab’s sustainability initiatives.

“At Ecolab, we have a unique role to play in addressing some of the most challenging issues facing our planet,” said Baker. “We have the people, the technology, the capability and the vision to make a positive impact today and far into the future.”
