PMMI names new board, new members

The PMMI membership elected three members to four-year terms on the PMMI Board of Directors, and the Board of Directors chose its Executive Committee for 2014 at PMMI’s Annual Meeting this week.

PMMI Nominating Committee Chairman Rick Fox, President & CEO of Fox IV Technologies Inc. presented the slate of candidates to the membership.

"In vetting our selections for Board posts, we consider a number of factors, including activity, company size and location," said Fox. "Our goal is for the Board of Directors to reflect the composition of the PMMI membership."

The new Board members’ terms will begin January 1, 2015, and end December 31, 2018.
PMMI's new Board members are:

Wayne Goldberg; President; Econocorp, Inc.
Econocorp, Inc., is located in Randolph, Massachusetts. The company joined PMMI's General Membership in 1963.

Emmanuel Cerf; Vice President of Sale; Polypack, Inc.
Polypack, Inc., has been a General Member of PMMI since 1977. The company is based in Pinellas Park, Florida.

Jonathon Titterton; Director of Sales and Marketing; Bosch Packaging Technology, Inc.
Based in New Richmond, Wisconsin, Bosch Packaging Technologies has been a member of PMMI since 1961.

The members of the current Executive Committee, in place since January 1, 2014, will continue to serve in their present positions for a second one-year term, Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2015.

Chairman: Bill Crist, CEO, Kliklok-Woodman

Vice Chairman: Jeff Bigger; President/Owner; MASSMAN Automation Designs, LLC

Secretary-Treasurer: Paul Irvine, CEO, Plexpack Corp.

Immediate Past Chairman: Rick Fox, Jr.; President & CEO; Fox IV Technologies, Inc.

President & CEO: Charles D. Yuska, PMMI

The Board of Directors of PMMI also welcomed 29 new PMMI member companies today. The board voted on the new members during its Sept. 15 meeting, held in conjunction with PMMI's 2014 Annual Meeting.

“PMMI's continued and sustained growth speaks volumes to the value the industry sees in membership,” says PMMI Chairman Bill Crist, CEO, Kliklok-Woodman.

PMMI's Board of Directors approved the following companies for membership:

General Membership

Data Scale(Fremont, California) manufactures liquid net weight drum and pail filling equipment for food and chemical industries.

Felins USA, Incorporated (Milwaukee, Wisconsin), manufactures bundling, wrapping and banding machines.

Gebo Cermex Canada Inc. (Quebec, Canada) manufactures conveying, case/tray loading and unloading, palletizing and wrapping machinery.

Magnetic Product, Inc. (Highland, Michigan), manufactures both magnetic and non-magnetic material handling solutions.

Motion Controls Robotics (Freemont, Ohio) manufactures case/tray loading and unloading, case erecting, converting and robotic feeding machinery.

Nalle Automation Systems (Knoxville, Tennessee) manufactures case erecting/tray forming, horizontal and vertical form/fill/seal and wraparound sleeve machinery.

PennTech Machinery Corporation (Ivyland, Pennsylvania) manufactures complete aseptic vial processing lines, tray loaders, cappers and filling/stopper inserting machines.

Sapphire Technologies USA, Inc. (Houston, Texas), manufactures automated x-ray systems for inspection of packaged food and pharmaceutical products.

Uhlmann Packaging Systems, LP (Towaco, New Jersey), manufactures blister filling and sealing, case/tray loading and unloading, bottle/jar filling and capping and thermoforming machinery.

Materials Membership:

Anchor Packaging (Ballwin, Missouri) manufactures take-out/ready-to-heat packaging and cling film.

Decade Products, LLC.(Grand Rapids, Michigan), manufactures reusable plastic containers and pallets.

InkJet, Inc. (Willis, Texas), manufactures custom performance inks and solvents.

KLW Plastics (Monroe, Ohio) manufactures rigid and semi-rigid plastic containers and corrugated combination packaging.

Mercury Plastics, Inc.(Chicago), manufactures blister packages, trifolds, clamshells, insert trays and conveyance and dunnage containers.

Syfan USA Corp.(Everetts, North Carolina) manufactures polyolefin shrink films.

Ultra Flex Packaging Corp. (Brooklyn, New York) manufactures non-forming films used by horizontal vacuum packaging machinery, also manufactures laminations, and cold seal, heat seal and resin-based sealants.

Processing Membership:

Axiflow Technologies, Inc. (Lutz, Florida), manufactures positive displacement pumps used to move food, beverages and personal care products through the processing line.

Douglas Machines Corp. (Clearwater, Florida) manufactures automated washing and sanitizing equipment.

FOODesign, a TNA Company (Wilsonville, Oregon) manufactures baking, conveying, heat exchangers, cooling equipment and rotary thermal machinery.

Fristam Pumps USA(Middleton, Wisconsin) manufactures stainless steel processing pumps, blenders and mixers.

NETZSCH Premier Technologies, LLC (Exton, Pennsylvania), manufactures wet and dry grinding equipment, mixing and de-aerating machinery.

Aurizon Ultrasonics(Kimberly, Wisconsin) manufactures ultrasonic systems for packaging equipment.

Brother International (Bridgewater, New Jersey) manufactures gear motors for the packaging industry.

Burkert Fluid Control Systems (Charlotte, North Carolina) manufacturers fluid control components and systems for the packaging/processing industry.

Diamond Chain Company (Indianapolis, Indiana) manufactures roller chain products used in the packaging industry.

Elesa USA Corp(Twinsburg, Ohio) manufactures specialty machine components.

Harmonic Drive LLC(Peabody, Massachusetts) manufactures actuators, gearheads and gear component sets.

Primedge, Inc.(Elk Grove Village, Illinois), manufactures components and tooling for emulsifiers, grinders, slicers, skinners, dicers, tenderizers and bowl choppers.

York Saw & Knife (York, Pennsylvania) manufactures machine knives and blades.
