The American Meat Science Association (AMSA) 69th Reciprocal Meat Conference (RMC) will be held June 19-22, 2016 at the Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. RMC serves as the annual meeting for AMSA and is being hosted by Angelo State University.

AMSA, the foremost association of meat science professionals, produces this conference. RMC features an interactive program tailored to bring attendees the very best and inspiring educational experience. From the traditional keynote presentations to the very diverse reciprocation sessions, firsthand information is presented by leading industry experts. The 800 plus attendees that attend this conference represent meat science professionals in academia, government and industry, as well as undergraduate and graduate students in the meat, food and animal science fields.

San Angelo offers an engaging mix of art and culture. Attendees can also enjoy live theater at the state’s longest running program, the Angelo Civic Theatre, stroll the banks of the Concho River, or catch live music at one of the many venues downtown. San Angelo’s deep history in agriculture, both food and fiber, make it an obvious choice for this year’s conference. The town has served as a trade center for farmers and ranchers dating back to the 1800s. San Angelo is home to the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo, one of the longest running rodeos in the world and Producer’s Livestock Auction, the nation’s largest auction for sheep and lambs and top five for cattle.
