al fresco all natural, best known for their gourmet chicken sausage, has just released two products that will spruce up every meal with two little words: chicken bacon. al fresco's new, uncured ready-to-cook and uncured ready-to-eat chicken bacon sizzle with 70% less fat than cooked pork bacon according to USDA data. The bacon is naturally cured, so no nitrates, nitrites or artificial ingredients, and is also gluten free. al fresco’s chicken bacon includes simple ingredients like water, a dash of raw sugar, sea salt and celery powder. Talk about a clean label. Leading turkey bacon items can contain up to nine additional ingredients.

For a mere 30 calories, you can have two crispy slices of fully cooked chicken bacon or one slice of ready-to-cook chicken bacon. But most importantly, the delicious, naturally smoky flavor and crispy texture make this product irresistible. al fresco is the first major brand to introduce fully cooked chicken bacon to the market.

al fresco’s chicken bacon is all natural and guilt-free, and can also be prepared in a flash. For the fully cooked, snack right from the easy-to-open pouches or heat in the microwave for crispy deliciousness in just a few seconds. For ready-to-cook bacon, pan fry for just a few minutes. Try chicken bacon crumbled and sprinkled over a green salad, tucked inside a frittata, mixed into a veggie sauté or layered into a sandwich.

al fresco introduced the new, ready-to-eat chicken bacon in its brand new TV spots, which aired on Good Morning America, Food Network, the Cooking Channel and HGTV. To see al fresco get carried away with bacon, click here and here.

“al fresco is all about eating better and what’s better than bacon?!” said Sarah Crowley, Director of Marketing for al fresco all natural. “How about all natural, uncured chicken bacon for only 30 calories? We are very excited to tap into consumers’ ever-growing demand for bacon while still allowing them to make healthier food choices without sacrificing flavor.”

al fresco’s ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat chicken bacon are on shelves in grocery stores nationwide. Each 3-ounce package of al fresco fully cooked, ready-to-eat chicken bacon contains 14 slices in two convenient, 7-slice, easy open pouches (SRP $4.49). Each 8-ounce package of al fresco ready-to-cook chicken bacon contains 9 slices (SRP $4.49).
In addition to chicken bacon, al fresco has a successful line of breakfast, lunch and dinner products like chicken sausage, chicken burgers, chicken meatballs, chicken grillers, chicken patties and breakfast chicken sausage links and patties. All al fresco products are at least 50% less fat than USDA data for beef and pork-like products.
