Meritech, provider of fully automated handwashing and footwear sanitizing systems, announced the promotion of Michele Colbert to President and Alison Smith as VP of Sales in response to its year over year growth in the marketplace.

Michele Colbert will have the primary responsibility for organizational strategy and growth for the organization.

"Michele's leadership and consultative approach to improving the safety of our food supply, public health, healthcare hygiene, as well as, improving cruise line public and crew health will continue to be instrumental in our vision moving forward." Colbert, a veteran of Meritech, has over 20 years of experience in the employee hygiene specialty markets, specifically hand and footwear hygiene.

Alison Smith has been promoted to Vice President of Sales where she will have the primary responsibility for sales strategy and overseeing product sales.

"Alison is a perfect fit to fill the VP of Sales role due to her extensive industry experience, product knowledge and leadership skills," said Michele Colbert, President of Meritech. Smith joined the company in 2014 as Sales Manager for the west coast and quickly rose to also lead clean room sales nationwide. Smith was previously with VWR as a Product Chemical Specialist and also worked as a Sales Representative for Thermal Fischer. Smith received a Bachelors degree from University of Puget Sound in chemistry.
