Branding Iron meets consumer demand with innovative new products

Branding Iron continues to ramp up new product development to meet today’s consumer trends and demand. With a portfolio that includes The Cloud Burger, Thick N Juicy and Double Red Provisions, it has been providing on-trend brands and great tasting products for more than five decades.

Through its two core companies, Holten Meats and Rochester Meat Company, Branding Iron has experienced continued growth over the past three years and is boosting its success in both retail and foodservice through its commitment to innovation in all areas of the company.

Most recently, the R&D and consumer insights development team identified a need in the premium frozen burger segment. “Primary consumer research coupled with market data pointed to a gap in the assortment of product offerings in the frozen case and we have been able to deliver,” says Ric Smith, Vice President Sales and Marketing.

The new retail line, Chop House by Holten is made up of premium burgers with custom steak blends. The Chop House offering is as follows: Angus Beef Chuck, Angus Sirloin & Chuck, Angus Brisket & Sirloin and Certified Angus Beef Blended Steak Burgers.

With the introduction of the new line the company is energizing both the category and the consumer with a craft burger experience that has not been available in the frozen category until now. The premium line has been a retail hit and has now moved into the foodservice arena to meet the chef-driven restaurant burger trend. 

 The Chop House brand in foodservice has expanded to include the Certified Hereford Beef Steak Burger. “We are thrilled to offer Certified Hereford Beef as part of our Chop House brand portfolio,” says Karen Twillmann, Director of Marketing. “The strict quality standards, flavorful beef and sustainable care by America¹s Hereford farm and ranch families meet the needs of our customers and is right in step with today¹s consumer trends.”
