Strauss Brands plans new Wisconsin facility

Strauss Brands Inc., a processor of beef and veal, has announced plans for a new facility in a Franklin, Wis., business park. The complex, which will be operated by the affiliate Strauss Investments LLC, is expected to be a $20 million investment, reports the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

The development, which will be either a building or a “series of industrial buildings,” will be for meat packaging and distribution operations. The company may also add meat harvesting and processing, according to a tax assessment agreement. The Franklin Common Council was to consider approving the agreement this week.
