USPOULTRY offers biosecurity resources for commercial poultry producer training
USPOULTRY supports poultry producers strengthening on-farm practices.

Biosecurity is the first line of defense in poultry production. It protects bird health, farm profitability, human safety and global food systems. In a world where disease threats are rising, it is no longer optional, but essential.
Still, implementing biosecurity protocols on a poultry farm can be challenging due to a range of factors, including human behavior, facility design and resource limitations. To support producers in strengthening their on-farm practices, the US Poultry & Egg Association offers information on Infectious Disease Risk Management: Practical Biosecurity Resources for Commercial Poultry Producers through its Learning Management System.
The information includes an overview of comprehensive biosecurity practices, cleaning and disinfection, traffic control, pest control, susceptible hosts and communication. The information is designed to aid in the development of effective biosecurity practices and can be used as a tool for program creation, personnel training and education.
The Infectious Disease Risk Management: Practical Biosecurity Resources for Commercial Poultry Producers is available to USPOULTRY members under the “Featured” tab of the Learning Management System.
USPOULTRY leads the development of employee training programs addressing biosecurity, environmental compliance, transportation safety, workplace safety and more. Through its Learning Management System, these resources are offered complimentary to members as a benefit of membership. Some programs are available to USPOULTRY members only.
