The sustainability framework and report align diverse industry participants under shared goals while providing actionable data to drive improvements, advancing sustainability across the value chain.
“When we align around shared metrics, it supports meaningful learning and continuous improvement,” said Heather Beaubien, past chair of US-RSPE and director of sustainability at Chick-fil-A. “The framework allows participants to understand progress better and identify opportunities in their organizations and across the sector.”
As participation in the framework continues to grow, results will evolve to offer a clearer picture of industry performance over time.
“The USRSPE Framework Sustainability Report provides a practical tool that underscores the US poultry and egg sectors’ leadership in sustainable protein production and their commitment to environmentally sound, socially responsible, and economically viable practices,” said US-RSPE executive director Ryan Bennet.
Now, in the second year of publication, the US-RSPE Sustainability Framework is the first-ever multistakeholder sustainability reporting framework for the entire US supply chains for chicken, turkey and eggs, from producer to the final customer.
