US Roundtable for Sustainable Beef celebrates 10 years
Annual meeting convenes representatives from across the beef supply chain.

The US Roundtable for Sustainable Beef recently celebrated its 10th anniversary at the annual USRSB General Assembly Meeting in Fort Worth, Texas, April 29 – May 1. The 2025 USRSB General Assembly meeting convened representatives from across the beef supply chain to recognize the past decade of progress and discuss the latest in beef sustainability for continued advancement.
“Over 186 industry stakeholders joined us in Fort Worth to address topics like building resilience in cattle operations, land use change, sustainable finance and climate commitments,” said Samantha Werth, executive director of the USRSB. “In the past 10 years, USRSB and its members have propelled US beef sustainability forward and continue to work to create a stronger beef value chain for future generations through developing critical resources and fostering collaborative discussions.”
Since 2015, the USRSB has provided the beef industry with access to resources to advance the resilience of member organizations, as well as hosted discussions to address industry challenges. The USRSB Learning Center at usrsb.org offers tools and support to aid stakeholders in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in sustainability across the US beef value chain.
In addition to celebrating a decade since its founding, USRSB announced the election of new officers and board of directors, bringing new leadership for USRSB.
“It is an honor to serve as chair for the Roundtable,” said Nancy Labbe, 2025-2026 USRSB chair. “I am excited to keep the momentum of USRSB going as we enter this next decade of continuous improvement.”
The newly elected officers, each serving one-year terms, include Labbe, who works for The Nature Conservancy, Chair-elect Tom McDonald from the Texas Cattle Feeders Association, Secretary and Treasurer Scott Anderson from CRI Feeders, and Immediate Past Chair Mike Williams from the California Cattlemen's Association.
