Subway Canada launch highlights foodservice demand for customizable, branded processed meat products.

SubDog
Subway Canada, part of the fast-food chain Subway, is launching the SubDog, a limited-time menu item featuring a close to half-pound, all-beef Schneider’s hot dog served on Subway bread.
The item is available at participating Subway restaurants across Canada beginning June 29, 2026. Subway said the SubDog can be customized with the chains bread, toppings and sauces.
The launch reflects continued foodservice interest in branded, value-added meat items that can be adapted across familiar restaurant formats. Subway Canada is positioning the product as a summer offering tied to hot dog season and supported by a national promotional campaign.
The launch builds on Subway Canada's ongoing partnership with the Toronto Blue Jays. As part of the promotion, Subway Canada customers who purchase a SubDog can receive a PIN for a chance to win weekly prizes and a Toronto Blue Jays game weekend experience.
