Duck product producer Maple Leaf Farms is expanding its lineup of value-added foodservice duck items with the introduction of fully cooked smoked duck legs, prepared sous vide and infused with cherry wood smoke flavor.
“Our smoked duck products have been popular with foodservice operators who are looking for high quality, labor-saving items to add to their menu,” said Maple Leaf Farms Director of Marketing Olivia Tucker Ruddell. “We are thrilled to extend this line with the addition of tender, flavorful duck legs.”
Maple Leaf Farms smoked duck legs are packaged in cases containing 12 vacuum‑sealed packs, each with two duck legs weighing approximately 10 ounces per pack. Case weights range 12-17 pounds.
“The cherry smoked flavor enhances the deep, rich flavor of duck,” said Ruddell. “And cooking the legs sous vide style makes them fall-off-the-bone tender. This is a winning combination for operators who want to elevate their menu without adding complexity to their kitchens.”
Maple Leaf Farms smoked duck legs are available for purchase through foodservice distributors nationwide.
