WASHINGTON – The House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate voted Wednesday to override President George W. Bush’s veto of the $290 billion farm bill.
Reports said that the override came hours after Bush vetoed the measure. The president said that the bill is too expensive and overly generous with subsidies to farmers.
