WASHINGTON – The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Thursday a recall of an undisclosed amount of Kroger-brand ground beef due to contamination with E. coli.
The Kroger Co. supermarket chain reportedly said the recalled ground beef products have the Kroger label and were sold between May 21 and June 8 in Michigan and Columbus and Toledo, Ohio stores. The beef had a sell-by date between May 21 and June 8, 2008.
