Bobby Meeks retired effective June 30, 2007 as president and CEO of Royalty Foods, Inc. of Orlando, FL, a division of Buckhead Beef, a SYSCO Corporation subsidiary. Bobby was the former owner of Royalty Foods, which was acquired by Buckhead Beef in 2005. Andy Malcolm, vice president, SYSCO Corporation and chairman, specialty meat companies, said, “Many things make Bobby special but none so much as his heart for his fellow man. That and his work ethics are second to none. Bobby has a genuine personality and his work efforts are legendary.”

Butterball, LLC has announced that Stephen Valesko has joined the company as Vice President of Engineering. Based in Butterball’s headquarters in Mount Olive, N.C., Valesko will be responsible for the development of strategic and tactical plans for engineering throughout the company. He will also provide technical guidance to ensure sound engineering procedures and effective use of facilities, capital and resources, both physical and environmental. Valesko reports directly to Chief Operating Officer Joe Nalley.

Quantum Foods LLC announced that George A. Chivari was named Chief Operating Officer. Chivari will be responsible for managing Quantum Foods Global Product Operations and report to Edward Bleka, founder and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Quantum Foods he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Coleman Natural Foods headquartered in Golden, Colorado. He was also the former President and Chief Executive Officer of the Parmalat Bakery Group North America. Chivari served as a Corporate Vice President of Sara Lee Corporation and Chief Executive Officer of the Sara Lee Branded Foods Group.
