Isernio’s Sausage Co. expands into new Kent, WA production facility

October 3, 2013

Isernio facilityThe Northwest’s top fresh sausage producer, Isernio’s Sausage Company, announces their expansion into a new state-of-the art, 27,750 square foot production and office facility located in Kent, Washington. This move is part of the company’s overall expansion over the past several years, which includes nationwide distribution of their premium sausage products.

Kent Mayor Suzette Cook will lead a ribbon-cutting opening ceremony for the new facility on October 5, 2013. Located at 8222 South 228th Street in Kent, Washington, the facility’s new construction includes a 6,200 square foot temperature-controlled production area, a 4,420 square foot refrigerated/frozen storage area, and over 5,000 square feet of office and test kitchen space.

“This new facility originated from the need for expanded production and storage space as our company has grown,” said Isernio’s Sausage president, Frank Isernio. “As more and more consumers have discovered our premium sausage, especially the health benefits of our lean chicken sausage, we needed the space to produce our fresh products daily and meet that demand. It’s a very exciting time for our company,” Isernio said.

Isernio’s Sausage has been a Northwest favorite since Frank Isernio founded the company in 1980 in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle, WA. Today, Isernio’s all-natural products are available across the United States, including their fresh chicken sausage rolls. The first products of their kind, Isernio’s chicken sausage rolls offer a unique, low-fat option for home cooks. At only 80 calories per serving, Isernio’s chicken sausage rolls weigh in at 84% - 87% LESS FAT than the USDA standard for pork sausage, and are a versatile ingredient to use in favorite dishes like pastas, pizzas, sandwiches and casseroles.
