Duke’s Smoked Meats launch in Target locations nationwide

Duke’s, Boulder-based maker of freshly crafted, made-from-scratch smoked meats announces its Smoked Shorty® Sausages are now available in select Target stores across the country.

Two varieties of Duke’s Smoked Shorty Sausages - Original and Hot & Spicy – are being sold at select Target stores in 5oz. packages in the snack aisle along with other dried meat selections. Duke’s is offering limited time pricing to kick off the new placement through May 7, 2016.

"Our partnership with Target marks an exciting time for Duke’s as we continue to expand and grow," says Duke’s president and founder, Justin Havlick. "We couldn’t be happier to have the opportunity to share our craft approach to jerky with the Target community and provide shoppers with a high-protein, low-sugar snack option that is healthy, convenient and delicious."

Duke’s has been leading the premium meat snack movement in the convenience channel and has increased distribution in grocery stores nationwide. Sales of Duke’s Smoked Shorty Sausages are up over 150 percent over last year across all retail categories, as the meat snack category continues to grow.

Duke’s Smoked Shorty Sausages are crafted in small batches and made with fresh-never-frozen meat, freshly chopped herbs and spices, authentic hardwood smoke pairings, and are slow-dried for days. The “Shorty’s” are gluten free with no hormones or nitrates added and contain 7 grams of protein and 0 to 2 grams of sugar per serving.
