Rollstock will be exhibiting their new RI-Platinum Vacuum Packaging Machine at Booth #2449 at the Process Expo Show in September. This new equipment promises to be the strongest on the market with a solid-plate side frame design that is now available with an electro-polished finish for easy cleaning. Using the latest version of Allen Bradley logix, the RI-Platinum features a 10” touch screen display, Allen Bradley software, PLC and components. It also features an improved vacuum circuit for faster speeds and it is servo-driven for accuracy and dependability.

Rollstock’s RI-Platinum Vacuum Packaging Machine has a remote monitoring system and an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) permission system to track setting changes and operator/maintenance level control that eliminates compromised passwords. It provides real-time reports and diagnostics plus remote connectivity for quicker off-site technical support. Its new open-view design has separate cabinets for electronics and pneumatics plus a self-sanitizing electrical cabinet. It also has the ability to use flexible, semi-rigid and thick semi-rigid films with a pre-heat station, plug assist forming, corner-round punch system, shape cutting system and film take-up roller designed for semi-rigid (24 mil) film.

Available in sizes up to 620 web width by 650 advance, the new RI-Platinum also features the following:

• Predictive maintenance on air valves and motors with on-screen display of upcoming failures
• 5/8” K tilt back chain availability with newly designed automatic air tensioning   for improved and consistent chain tension, easy-to-clean chain guide design with improved wear properties
• Hard anodized heads and buckets to reduce corrosion
• Servo-driven film unwind spindles with disc braking system and pneumatic film lock
