Poultry company Foster Farms has announced the appointment of Riz Akbar as its chief commercial officer. He will oversee the company’s commercial strategy as it continues to invest in growing its brand. Akbar will report to Jayson Penn, chief executive officer of Foster Farms.
Akbar has over 20 years of experience driving brand growth and developing commercial strategies at major consumer packaged goods organizations. Most recently, he led commerce strategy and digital transformation for Pilgrim’s, delivering transformative results and brand growth. His career includes leadership positions at Publicis Groupe, Neo WPP, Mondelēz and Kraft Foods, where he successfully led sales and launched global campaigns that elevated brands worldwide.
