Latin American Poultry Summit showcases the future of poultry production, innovation and sustainability
One-day summit offers expert sessions, global perspectives and networking opportunities, all focused on driving progress and strengthening collaboration within the industry.

The 2026 Latin American Poultry Summit will explore the future of poultry production, innovation and sustainability. With a full day of expert sessions, global perspectives and networking opportunities, attendees can expect a dynamic program focused on driving progress and strengthening collaboration within the industry.
The event will take place Jan. 26 and will open with a presentation of research projects by the Latin American Poultry Association (ALA), setting the tone for a day that combines science, strategy and shared expertise. The summit is presented by the International Poultry Expo, part of the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) and ALA.
A highlight of the morning is the CEO roundtable on the “Future and Direction of Egg Producing Companies,” featuring influential leaders from across Latin America, including Lorenzo Martín, director of El Gran Chaparral; Ismelon Moreira, chief financial officer of Global Eggs; and Juan Felipe Montoya, president of Huevos Kikes and World Egg Organization president and director; with the session moderated by Mauricio Sanabria, sales and technical manager, Latin America and Canada for Hy-Line International. This session will explore global trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the egg industry today.
Servio Palacios, professor, computer scientist and leader of Zamorano/Mayan Mind, will then discuss how artificial intelligence and smart technologies are transforming poultry production. Following this, David Vargas, quality assurance and food safety data analytics manager with Wayne-Sanderson Farms, will share insights on using data-driven tools to turn information into strategic business decisions.
The afternoon sessions will address key technical and practical challenges in the field, including:
- Mycotoxins Panorama in Latin America – Felipe Fagundes, poultry manager, Latin America, Alltech
- Intestinal Integrity and Productivity – Carlos Martinez, global nutrition leader, DCL Nutrition
- Stopping Salmonella at the Source – José Ramirez, technical director, North and Latin America, Anitox
- Lighting as a Critical Factor in Poultry Environments – Cristabel Huerta, livestock lighting consultant, Hato Lighting
Finishing the day, Mauricio Simental, head of marketing digital, digital and e-commerce for Bachoco, will present “From the Farm to the Consumer,” a look at how communication strategies are redefining consumer engagement in the poultry industry.
The summit will conclude with a Latin reception, hosted by the united poultry industry. The Latin reception will feature a DJ playing Latin music, sponsored by Wayne-Sanderson Farms.
Registration for IPPE and the Latin American Poultry Summit opened on Oct. 6, 2025. The registration rate for the Summit is $300 through Jan. 9, 2026. The rate is $435 starting Jan. 10.
The 2026 IPPE show dates are Jan. 27–29, and the event will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga.
