Verde Farms releases nutrient density data, earns Master Chefs’ Seal for organic beef
Nutrient density analysis compares Verde’s organic, grass‑fed and finished beef against leading non‑organic grass‑fed products.

Organic beef brand Verde Farms is releasing new data supporting its nutritional and sensory claims for its organic, 100% grass‑fed beef program.
A nutrient density analysis conducted in partnership with Edacious compared Verde’s organic, grass‑fed and finished beef against leading non‑organic grass‑fed products. The analysis reported higher concentrations of several key nutrients in Verde's beef products, including 9% more Omega‑3s, 39% more CLA, 24% more Vitamin B12, 47% more iron and 41% more zinc. The study also indicated a lower risk of exposure to contaminants.
Brad Johnson, CEO of Verde Farms, said the findings reinforce the company’s long‑standing position on organic production standards. “Too many products in the market rely on ‘better‑for‑you’ claims without meeting the standards needed to truly deliver on nutrition, quality and taste,” Johnson said.
Edacious CEO Eric J. Smith said that the results aligned with expectations for higher‑standard production systems, noting the data provides Verde with third‑party verification to support its quality claims.
In addition to the nutrient density results, Verde’s 93% lean organic ground beef received the Master Chefs’ Seal of Excellence from the Master Chefs Institute (MCI). The panel of Certified Master Chefs cited strong beef flavor and consistent performance across applications during sensory evaluation.
Verde said the nutrient density study and Master Chefs’ Seal of Excellence highlight the impact of production practices on both nutritional outcomes and eating quality.
