The Michigan Beef Industry Commission (MBIC) brought together female social media and community influencers from across the state to its inaugural Girls Who Grill event on June 3, 2026, providing attendees with an immersive experience focused on beef education, grilling confidence and culinary inspiration.
The event brought together women with a passion for food, community engagement and storytelling to learn directly from industry experts while participating in a hands-on cooking experience centered around high-quality beef.

Together, they guided participants through grilling techniques, beef cut identification and preparation methods designed to help consumers feel more confident cooking beef at home.
Throughout the event, attendees honed their grilling skills using grills provided by Traeger Grills, an event sponsor. Participants also had the opportunity to network with fellow influencers and engage in conversations about beef production, nutrition and versatility.
The educational sessions culminated in a flavorful Thai-inspired meal featuring beef as the centerpiece, showcasing the adaptability of beef in global cuisine while demonstrating practical cooking applications attendees can share with their audiences.
“Girls Who Grill was created to bring together influential women who are passionate about food and community while helping them build confidence around cooking and grilling beef,” said Lindsay Green, director of marketing communications for MBIC. “By connecting attendees with culinary and scientific experts, we hope they left with valuable knowledge, new skills and a deeper appreciation for beef’s versatility and nutritional benefits.”
The event is part of MBIC’s ongoing efforts to connect consumers with accurate information about beef and inspire confidence in preparing beef at home through engaging, hands-on experiences.
