USDA introduces the Strengthening Processing for US Ranchers Program to provide up to $500 million in payments for eligible beef processors who have faced increased costs of acquiring cattle for processing.
Solution allows a small meat processor, with little to no IT investment, to leverage an automated system for monitoring and analysis of their production flows and processes.
The Arkansas-based processor has a customer base ranging from individual farm families raising one or two animals per year for personal consumption all the way up to large direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands shipping product nationwide.
Award honors a person and/or supplier member who has been devoted to the meat and poultry industry, particularly small and medium-sized plant operators.
Using RFSI funding, the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry funds projects that will achieve on-farm facility infrastructure improvements to resolve middle-of-the-supply-chain challenges for Maine agricultural products and support processing, packaging, storage and distribution improvements.
