Proposed Meat and Poultry Special Investigators Act would create a new office within the USDA.

USCA’s policy basis focuses on the lack of sufficient research to understand long-term risks associated with mRNA technologies.

The bill would establish minimum levels of fed cattle purchases made through approved pricing mechanisms, which includes negotiated cash, negotiated grid, at a stockyard, and through trading systems that multiple buyers and sellers regularly can make and accept bids.

The proposal would only apply to certain classes of cattle that are crossing state lines and meet certain conditions.

Each resolution in the current USCA policy book is reviewed every two years at the annual meeting and will now be mailed to the full membership for a vote.

The address will take place at the 15th Annual Meeting and Cattle Producer’s Forum on December 8-10, 2022, in Nashville, TN.
