Seafood brand Safe Catch is entering the frozen aisle with the launch of Safe Catch fish nuggets, marking the brand’s first expansion into frozen foods and a nationwide rollout across all Sam’s Club locations in the United States for $13.98 a box.
With its nationwide Sam’s Club launch, Safe Catch extends its presence beyond shelf-stable seafood.
The launch brings Safe Catch’s long-standing standards for mercury testing, ingredient transparency and responsible sourcing into one of the most widely consumed frozen categories. While frozen seafood nuggets have historically prioritized convenience, Safe Catch fish nuggets are designed to deliver both convenience and clarity.
Made with 100% sustainably wild-caught Alaskan pollock, the Safe Catch fish nuggets are lightly breaded and cooked in avocado oil. They contain no seed oils, added sugar or artificial fillers, while delivering 18 grams of protein per serving. The result is a family friendly frozen option that aligns with growing consumer demand for cleaner, less processed foods.
Safe Catch applies its proprietary mercury testing technology to every catch of pollock used, screening each batch to a strict mercury limit of 0.1 ppm. No other frozen seafood brand operates at this level of testing or transparency, positioning Safe Catch fish nuggets as a differentiated and premium offering within the category.
“This launch is a significant milestone for Safe Catch,” said Sean Wittenberg, Safe Catch co-founder and CEO. “Bringing our first frozen product to Sam’s Club nationwide allows us to meet families where they already shop, while maintaining the standards that have defined our brand from the beginning.”
“This product line expansion reflects broader shifts in consumer behavior. Families increasingly rely on frozen foods that support busy schedules, but they do not want to sacrifice ingredient quality,” Wittenberg added. “Retailers are also seeing increased interest in products that balance convenience with trust, transparency, and nutritional value.”
Sustainability remains a core part of the product’s development. Safe Catch fish nuggets are made with Marine Stewardship Council Certified wild-caught pollock and are supported by Safe Catch’s Plastic Neutral certification, making them the only plastic neutral seafood item currently available in the frozen aisle.
