Provisur showcases meat and poultry separation systems at IFFA

Provisur highlights separation equipment to help processors maximize protein recovery and minimize waste.

Beehive RSTD06 Max

August 7, 2025

At IFFA 2025 in Frankfurt, Germany, industrial food processing equipment manufacturer Provisur Technologies presented a range of separation systems highlighting versatility, innovation and sustainability. The separation machines on display included the Bone Cannon HS250 Max with a completely new design, the STS 2000 with swing arm, the SME 820 and Beehive RSTD06 Max.

Provisur separation equipment is designed to increase yield by recovering maximum proteins from bones, pork, poultry and red meat.

Bone Cannon HS250 Max

The Bone Cannon HS250 Max has undergone a complete redesign to make it even more efficient and sustainable. The brand-new design was showcased at IFFA and is already in operation at a major European processor.

Bone Cannon HS250 MaxBone Cannon HS250 Max

Bones retain valuable amounts of meat even after trimming; the Bone Cannon HS250 Max separates this meat from the bones, ensuring that producers get the highest possible return on their raw material investment. The machine creates the necessary hard pressure that enables the extraction of proteins. The new design offers even greater meat recovery to keep valuable protein out of the waste stream and meet today’s demands for affordable proteins in applications such as meatballs, sausages and more. Additionally, the new design reduces water consumption to a minimum, and, with the new motor, energy consumption is also reduced from roughly 100 kWh to around 26 kWh. There is a decrease in noise emission, and the maintenance concept has been redesigned to make it more user friendly.

Separation for delicate products: STS 2000

In contrast to the Bone Cannon HS250 MAX, the STS is great for delicate products and finer separation processes. One of the biggest challenges for operations that involve soft-tissue products is the removal of bone fragments while maintaining the quality of the meat. With the STS 2000, higher yields and higher quality end products go hand in hand.

STS 2000STS 2000

The technology of the STS allows users to obtain a product that is free of bone fragments, sinew and cartilage while maintaining the integrity and structure of the fiber in both meat and fish. The patented STS 2000 is a new machine in the STS portfolio, with an improved design and new features. One of these is a blue feeding wheel between the upper part of the machine and the belt where separation takes place. This wheel guides the product into the optimal position for separation. A second notable feature is the automatic tension of the belt; the operator only needs to push a button, and the belt tension adjusts itself. The swing arm has been redesigned so that it can now be moved by the operator. The STS is also suitable for depacking, for example when the reprocessing of defective articles becomes necessary, or when the best-before date has passed.

Poultry protein recovery with a small footprint: SME 820

The rotary line featuring the SME 820 offers separation technology with a small footprint. It can serve as an entry-level machine to recover meat on bones and prevent valuable protein from entering the waste stream. The redesign of the frame has led to a lower investment cost while still guaranteeing the quality of the separated meat. The machine is compact and lean and handles a wide range of applications. It is ideal for MDM and MSM from beef, pork and poultry, and delivers the material for sausages and nuggets. It is designed for simplicity and ease of use without compromising on versatility.

Beehive RSTD06 Max for red meat and poultry

The new RSTD06 Max has been engineered to significantly increase the capacity of the Beehive RSTD06. The machine is ideal for ground, formed and portioned red meat and poultry products. Its precise controls allow the operator to generate a variety of textures, resulting in a premium end product. Like all Provisur systems, the RSTD06 has received continual upgrades and improvements. The back of the current Max version is wider, and the machine has a completely new drive system. The original version processed 8,000 pounds per hour, while the RSTD06 Max processes around 16,000 pounds per hour.

Automation, full-line expertise

Provisur experts perform an analysis of customer needs to determine which technology will provide the best possible solution. A full-line separation solution may include a pre-sizer, which feeds ideally sized pieces into a Bone Cannon HS250 Max, where the protein is extracted. From there, the good material is moved to the STS, and the bad material is moved to the waste where it is once more separated using the belt separator until it is clean and free of any small bones.

The machines are easy to clean, simple to operate and hygienic. Additionally, Provisur offers a 360-degree customer service which includes 24-hour stock availability, maintenance and training on the machines. The company’s Innovation and Ingenuity Centers in France and the US allow customers to collaborate with Provisur specialists to maximize yield and boost efficiency while ensuring quality of the final product.
