Seaboard Foods announces the purchase of three farms in Texas and Oklahoma. These strategic acquisitions, which include barns with a total of 57,000 market hog spaces, will directly supply Seaboard Foods’ pork processing plant in Guymon, Okla.
The newly acquired farms are in Perryton, Texas, Optima, Oklahoma and Balko, Okla., and align with Seaboard Foods’ connected food system’s goal of maintaining control and quality from its farms to tables across the globe. This move will bolster Seaboard Foods market hog supply to the Guymon facility, ensuring a consistent and steady flow of high-quality pork products.
"We are excited about these acquisitions as they strengthen our commitment to delivering premium pork products and embodying The Prairie Fresh Way," said Chad Groves, president and CEO of Seaboard Foods. "Adding these farms into our operations allows us to better manage our supply chain and uphold the high standards our domestic and international customers expect from Seaboard Foods."
