Garozzo’s Italian Style Ground Sausage by Prairie Fresh

Prairie Fresh, part of Seaboard Foods, is partnering with Garozzo’s Ristorante to launch Garozzo’s Italian Style Ground Sausage by Prairie Fresh, available in the refrigerated or frozen sections of select Kansas City, Mo., grocery stores.

The new retail offering features Garozzo’s Ristorante's signature seasoning blend.

Michael Garozzo, founder of Garozzo’s Ristorante, said the collaboration represents what Kansas City cuisine is all about. “We have always believed that Kansas City is more than just a great barbecue town. It is a city that loves great food of all kinds,” Garozzo said. “This collaboration lets us share a piece of our restaurant’s legacy in a way that families can enjoy at home. It tastes exactly like what we serve in the restaurant, and that means a lot to me.”

Ozlem Worpel, vice president of marketing and innovation at Seaboard Foods, said the partnership is a natural fit between two Kansas City names that represent quality and care. “Working with Michael and the Garozzo’s team has been an exciting opportunity to bring restaurant-level flavor to grocery shelves,” Worpel said. “Prairie Fresh is proud to make Garozzo’s signature sausage more accessible while maintaining the quality and flavor that local fans have loved for decades.”
