Joffer Family Ranch in Oregon has developed burgers with extremely low fat content and with a lot less calories, launching them under its Skinny Beef brand name.
"The United States (will) resume imports from Japan from Aug. 17 onwards, acknowledging that (Japan) is clean from foot-and-mouth disease," the ministry said.

Cargill plans to keep the approximately 250 full-time ground beef production jobs at the facility and make further investments to boost the plant's competitiveness.
The USDA says that the vast majority of states participating in the National School Lunch Program are ordering ground beef that does not contain lean finely textured beef.
