Organic beef brand Verde Farms is announcing leadership promotions as the company advances into its next phase of national expansion. The promotions follow expanded distribution with retailers including Publix and additional Albertsons divisions, double-digit production efficiency gains and the completion of a successful Series B financing round.
“We’ve built a leadership team designed for this stage of growth,” said Brad Johnson, CEO of Verde Farms. “Their strategic direction has elevated every part of our business, from sales and operations to finance, supply and culture, creating a stronger and more scalable organization. As retailers respond to growing consumer demand for certified organic beef, we are confident in our ability to build on our momentum and further solidify our leadership in the category.”
The company announced the following promotions:
- Pablo Garbarino, founder and board member, named chief supply officer. An original founder of Verde Farms, Garbarino has added the title of chief supply officer in recognition of his leadership of the company’s global supply network and his continued navigation of a volatile beef market.
- Rod Masters, formerly vice president of sales, promoted to chief sales officer. Since joining Verde in late 2023, Masters has established the sales processes and systems driving consistent growth. Under his leadership, the company secured major new customers including Publix, expanded into additional Albertsons divisions and increased penetration across existing retail partners.
- Troy Hoover, formerly vice president of operations, promoted to chief operations officer. Hoover assumed leadership of operations in early 2024 and has driven gains in production performance with a keen focus on food safety and customer service. He has built a high-performing operations organization grounded in continuous improvement and excellence.
- Andy Schutt, formerly vice president of finance, promoted to chief financial officer. Since joining in July 2023, Schutt has strengthened financial reporting and internal controls while assembling a seasoned finance team to support the company’s growth. He also led the company through a successful Series B financing round and the financing of its recent capital installation.
- Darwin Miralda, formerly human resources business partner, promoted to senior human resources business partner. Since joining in May 2024, Miralda has elevated the HR function while reinforcing a culture grounded in Verde’s core values. He has also enhanced employee advocacy and talent development companywide.
